Español: Vista frontal de la Biblioteca Central de la Universidad de Bucarest y de la estatua de Carlos I, Bucarest, Rumanía. La Biblioteca Central de la Universidad se fundó en 1895, 31 años después de la fundación de la Universidad de Bucarest con la denominación Biblioteca de Carlos I de la Fundación de la Universidad. El edificio, diseñado por el arquitecto francés Paul Gottereau, se completó en 1893 y fue inaugurado el 14 de marzo de 1895. La colección de volúmenes ha crecido de forma constante desde los 3.400 volúmenes en 1899 hasta los más de 2 millones en 1970.

The Central University Library was founded in 1895, 31 years after the foundation of the University of Bucharest, as the Carol I Library of the University Foundation. The building, designed by French architect Paul Gottereau, was completed in 1893 and opened on 14 March 1895. The volume collection has grown steadily from 3,400 volumes in 1899 to over 2 million in 1970.

Zbiór woluminów stale powiększał się z 3400 woluminów w 1895 roku do ponad dwóch milionów w 1970.

Центральна університетська бібліотека була відкрита 14 березня 1895 році під назвою «Бібліотека університетського фонду ім. Кароля I», через 31 рік після відкриття Бухарестського університету. Будівля була спроектована французьким архітектором Полом Готеро і її будівництво завершилось в 1893 році. Кількість примірників зросла з 3.4 тис. в 1899 році до 2 млн. в 1970 році.
